Our advanced digital X-rays magnify and enhance your teeth for better diagnosis of treatment.
This digital X-ray allows us to take an image of your teeth and put it into an imaging program.
Taking an image only takes a few seconds. A small sensor is placed in your mouth, and the picture appears on our screen right away, so we can review it with you chair-side. That means less waiting, clearer explanations, and a treatment plan you can see for yourself. The American Dental Association explains how dental x-rays are used safely.
Because the images are digital, we can zoom in, adjust contrast, and compare them with earlier visits. Your images are stored securely in your patient record, and we can share them with a specialist or your insurance company when needed.
With this program, we are able to use a number of tools that will allow us to take a closer look at your teeth and surrounding structures with remarkable accuracy.
Digital X-rays can give us the information we need to more effectively plan your treatment.
Typically, these X-rays are taken before treatment begins, but we may take additional X-rays during and after treatment in order to chart your progress.
Digital X-rays also require much less radiation than traditional film X-rays. They are safe, effective, fast and informative.
